Syt. Om Prakash Jindal Ji (Our Revered Babuji)

A Dream Translates Into Reality....

Our founder father Shri Om Prakash Jindal Ji was born on 7th August, 1930 to a farmer, Late Shri Netram Jindal of village Nalwa of Hisar district in Haryana. Being inquisitive by nature, our Babuji always displayed a strong inclination for machines since his childhood. His passion for machines led to his industrial career with a small bucket-manufacturing unit in Hisar ...

The journey that began with a small bucket -manufacturing unit found its culmination in the establishment of a large industrial house under the name of Jindal Strips Limited in 1969. Babuji had envisioned a self-reliant India in every sector of industry. He visited several foreign countries to keep himself abreast with the latest industrial technical development and know-how. The knowledge thus acquired was aptly applied to accelerate production of his industrial establishments. His meticulous planning supplemented with well-conceived efforts eventually bore fruits, as at present there are many industrial units under the flagship of the Jindal Organization under whose spectral umbrella thousands of families thrive. An industrial powerhouse with a dominant presence in steel, power, mining and infrastructure, today JSPL is a leading Indian conglomerate that aims to strengthen the future of the nation and works towards building a better world.

Endless Philanthropic Journey...

Shri O.P. Jindal Ji was the Chairman of the Jindal Organisation. For his significant contribution to the Indian Steel Industry, he was bestowed upon with the prestigious "Lifetime Achievement Award" by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Being an altruist in the true sense, Babuji found the purpose of his life in helping the common man in every possible way. The list of his philanthropic activities is rather endless. He understood well the role of education in uplifting the masses and its significant contribution in national progress in general and common man in particular.

A Champion of Masses...

He was a successful industry visionary and would remain as a role model for others. On account of his dedicated services to various sections of society, particularly, the poor and backward classes, he was revered by all. Babuji's philosophy was that without the upliftment of weaker and backward sections of society our nation's dream of being a leading nation of the world shall remain unfulfilled. To realize this conviction, he was motivated into politics. Like industry even in politics he had a successful story to tell. He received tremendous support and cooperation of people in the political arena and resultantly became a Member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1991. Soon after in 1996, he was elected as a Member of Parliament in the 11th Lok Sabha from the Kurukshetra Parliamentary Constituency of Haryana with a landslide victory. Babuji was a sitting Congress MLA from the Hisar Legislative Assembly and was appointed Minister of Power, Govt. of Haryana. He won the Hisar Legislative Assembly seat of Haryana three times consecutively.

An Inspiration...

It is aptly said of Babuji, "Where others saw walls he saw doors". Babuji always saw an opportunity in everything and took up the challenges successfully. He always led the way. The life journey of Babuji from a farmer's son to a successful industrialist, a philanthropist, a politician and a great leader would serve as a great source of inspiration for generations to come. We pay our heartfelt tributes to our revered Babuji and remain committed to his vision of making a difference in the lives of others through our educational pursuits.
